Anglo American Platinum Learnership, Mogalakwena Mine is inviting applications for Engineering Exposure Training.
The successful Candidates will be allowed to enroll in an external Unemployed (18.2 B1) Three-year Learnership programme leading to the selected qualification as a qualified Artisan.
The following Learnerships are being offered:
- Learnership Fitter
- Learnership Boilermaker Plater
- Learnership Rigger
- Learnership Earthmoving Mechanic
- Diesel Mechanic
Our three-year Artisan Learnership Program is an enrichment program for the community and will enable you to develop skills through classroom and on-the-job/core training at Mogalakwena Mine. This Program will enable you to maximize your potential along with a tailored plan to provide you with a future to make a difference. As you progress through your Artisan learnership program, we will help you discover your real capability and develop your skills as an Artisan.
Training Programs for Artisan Learners:
- 1st year: Institutional training at ESTC, Engineering Skills Training Centre.
- 2nd year: On-the-job/core training at Mogalakwena Mine.
- 3rd year: Complete trade test
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science, and English (all with minimum 40% pass),
- Or N2 or higher with all subjects as per the specific Discipline Requirements
- Or NCV Level – 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass
Learnership Conditions:
- Must be prepared to work on the surface, open pit ‘dusty areas’.
- Work by to work schedule of the area and could involve working shifts
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must pass the relevant psychometric assessment
- Must have a medical certificate of fitness or be able to obtain one
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English
