Purpose of the Role

As a key team player, your responsibilities will include driving sales, reducing stock losses, managing inventory, assisting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining an efficient and cost-effective store. PEP fosters a culture of internal growth, offering opportunities for professional development and career progression

Key Responsibilities

The role of the Part-time Sales Assistant involves the following duties and responsibilities to be fulfilled:

  • Maintain a positive and secure store environment by following stock loss prevention and security procedures.
  • Operate the cash register in line with company policies and ensure store cleanliness and organization.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow Dynamos to enhance store efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist customers with purchases, offer recommendations, and ensure they have a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and inform them about promotions and special offers.
  • Stay knowledgeable about products, showcase merchandise, and help customers find what they need.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming experience by greeting and assisting customers promptly.
  • Strive to meet sales targets and stay updated on new product arrivals.
  • Assist with stock ordering and store layout to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Receive, sort, and manage inventory deliveries.
  • Process transactions accurately to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keep up with any product updates or feature changes.

Job Requirements

Applicants will be required to meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

  • Matric certificate (Grade 12).
  • Experience in cashiering, customer service, sales, or general retail roles.
  • Must live within 15km of the store location.
  • clear criminal record is required.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following will be advantageous:

  • South African citizenship.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • A strong passion for retail and customer service to ensure an outstanding shopping experience.
